Transcendentalist Unit Projects

Everything for the Transcendentalist Unit is due at the end of class tomorrow! Remember to finish your Transcendentalist Project (below), Chart, Walden Packet, Instructional Book Page, and Research Paper Revisions. All of these assignments can be found on this blogpost.

Create a Transcendentalist Playlist!
·Choose at least one song that specifically relates to each Transcendentalist ideal.
·Write a paragraph (6-8 sentences) of “liner notes” for how each song represents the Transcendentalist ideals. (Total of 6 PARAGRAPHS)
· Be prepared to share with a group to create an entire Transcendentalist CD.

  • Self-Reliance
  • Free Thought
  • Confidence
  • Importance of Nature
  • Spiritual is greater than Material

HONORS ONLY! Standard EXTRA CREDIT! Create a Picture of Transcendentalism!
·Choose two lines of text from one or more texts that embrace Transcendentalism. The lines can be from one of the texts we have read or from other texts that embrace Transcendentalist ideals. For example,
